The Bahamas Golf Federation in association with the Ocean Club Golf course presents the first Bahamas Junior Open to be hosted by the Ocean Club Golf Course on June 27th and 28th at 1 o’clock. This tournament is open to all junior golfers and promises to be a stellar event. You will find attached more information about the event and also a registration form. Registration begins today (June 5th) until Sunday, June 24th, 2007 at the BGF Administration Office (tel. 326-7415), Cable Beach Pro Shop, Lyford Cay Pro Shop and also the Ocean Club Pro Shop. In addition there will be a tournament for the novice players and lunch will be provided.

BGF National Summer Youth Golf Academy

This summer, for the first time The Bahamas Golf Federation, like many other sports disciplines, will be hosting a Summer Golf Academy. The Academy (Summer Clinic) will cater to children from the Age of 5 years to 18 years. The venue will be the ‘NEW’ BGF Driving Range which is located at the Queen Elizabeth Sports Centre, immediately west of the Soccer Field, and the instructors will include a number of our collegiate members who are former CAGC and CAJGC National Team Members. The Academy will be conducted over six weeks beginning on Monday, July 16th with an Opening Ceremony and ending on Friday August 24, with a Prizes Ceremony. Each participant will be presented with a ‘Certificate of Attendance’. The cost per participant is $ 30.00 per week and daily will include a snack of water, soft drink, fruit and a sandwich. Academy uniform of a golf shirt and cap will be on sale at a cost of 30.00 per uniform. Registration opens as of Friday June 8th and closes on Wednesday July 11th.
